What to Expect:

Not without reason has Park Güell become one of Barcelona’s most emblematic sights in recent years and attracts with its unique architecture and tranquil spots tourists and locals alike. Its buildings are some of the best examples of Gaudí’s interpretation of Catalan Modernism and reflect the architect’s tremendous imagination and creativity.

The guided tour takes you around the monumental core of the park, which Gaudí designed as part of the ambitious housing development that Park Güell was planned to be. It includes the two porters lodges at the entrance, famous for their frosted roofs, and leads the visitor up the majestic Dragon Stairway, past its mosaic-encrusted salamander, today the parks most popular image. Your tour continues through the impressive hypostyle room, designed as the site’s market, and up to the Nature Square, from where you can enjoy stunning views over Barcelona.

Follow your guide on a walk through Gaudí’s naturalist architecture and discover fascinating details like colourful tile-shard mosaics and architectural features. Take a look behind the park’s hidden symbolism that reflects the architect’s political and religious ideals and combines them with mythological elements.
