What to Expect

Without a doubt one of Barcelona’s top attractions, Casa Batlló catches the eye of any passer-by. Once inside, the visitor discovers a colourful dream world of curved lines and asymmetric forms, bringing together decorative elements to form an aesthetic but still functional whole.

Dreamt up by Antoni Gaudi, celebrated architect of Catalan Modernism and creator of such emblematic sights as the Sagrada Familia and the Palau Güell and Park, Casa Batlló was originally designed as a family residence at the beginning of the 20th century.

Turned into a museum in 2002, the house today welcomes the visitor with its still surprising originality. The entrance ticket gives you access to this architectural piece of art and its magic, Gaudi and the modernist style of architecture.
